There is no way of knowing how many moles you have. Depending on your surroundings, your lawn may have a steady flow of moles throughout the year. See stats for more details.

What does new mole activity look like?

Recent pushed up dirt will appear dark and damp in color and texture. Darker soil indicates that the fresh dirt has not had time to dry in the sun or wind. You may notice lots of tunnels throughout your yard after we have stopped service, it takes some time for old tunnels to settle on their own.

How many traps do you use?

We do not have a minimum or maximum number of traps to use. Simply put, we use however many traps it takes. The number of traps set does not affect your per visit rate.

Should I treat for grubs?

How many traps do you use?

Our personal opinion is not to treat for grubs for your mole problems. Grubs are only about 25% of a moles diet. They also love to eat earthworms, beetles and larvae.

Do you use poison?

Why didn't the agent move traps around and why are traps set off with no moles?

Should I trap my moles if my neighbor doesn't?

No, we do not use poison. We want physical proof of mole captures. With poison there is no reliable way to prove that a mole actually ate the worm and died. Also, we are a pet safe company and by using poison you take a chance on another animal eating the poison and getting sick or dying.

Should I trap my moles if my neighbor doesn't?

This is a problem that many of us face. Trapping moles in one yard could easily take care of a  mole problem for several houses in every direction. This could be done in a very short period of time but it could also turn into 4 or 5 sessions of mole trapping per year. It is however, a good idea to have your neighbors trap their yard as well, but it is not always necessary.

Why didn't the agent move traps around and why are traps set off with no moles?

Most tunnels are connected and moles move around a lot. We do not need a trap in every tunnel or at every pile of dirt. There may also be areas where traps would not be efficient in trapping, such as thick and coarse mulch, rock and concrete edges. We set traps in tunnels that we believe give us best opportunity for captures.

The agents are trained to find the most active or most traveled tunnels. If they are catching moles in a certain area, they most likely will not move traps unless there is another non connected area with new activity. It isn't abnormal for tripped traps to be empty. The agents are trained to find the most active or most traveled tunnels. If they are catching moles in a certain area, they most likely will not move traps unless there is another non connected area with new activity. It isn't abnormal for tripped traps to be empty. The little pests are smart sometimes and possibly sense a disturbance to their tunnel and will set traps off before entering the scissors. For this very reason, we set multiple traps in one yard to be sure we have more chances at trapping them. Their luck always runs out!

Yes they are safe. In the 16 years of trapping, we have yet to have an incident. The traps that we use pose no danger to hands or paws because all pinch points are underground. This trap could potentially pose danger if it is pulled out of the ground while set, so it is best to inform your children to avoid them all together. We occasionally use an underground trap if it becomes necessary for trapping difficult moles. This specific trap is completely underground, away from curious hands or paws.

Can I check traps?

Are the traps safe for my children and/or pets?

We would rather our customers not check traps for several reasons. The first is for liability reasons. Second is the agent tracks where moles are caught so he gets and idea of most traveled tunnels which may help keep the session from going on for too long. Third is moles easily slip out from the scissors and may produce an empty trap that did have a mole in it.

Do moles hibernate in the winter?

Are the traps safe for my children and/or pets?

Do moles hibernate in the winter?

No they don't! We trap year round unless the ground is frozen solid. When the ground is frozen, our traps also freeze which is why you may have weeks with traps left in your yard. We haven't forgotten you!

Is this a bill?

Do moles hibernate in the winter?

A mole report is not a bill. We will create an invoice after we have stopped service or after 5 visits, where you have the option to pay partially so your total amount doesn't become too large. You have the option to pay online or mail a check. When paying online, Intuit charges will be reflected on your bank or credit card statement.
